Mission

Better Beginnings NOW CAPC strives to optimize the development (physical, cognitive, social and emotional) of infants and children from prenatal to 6 years who are at risk for developmental delay due to difficult life circumstances.

Who we are

Better Beginnings NOW CAPC is a non-profit community based organization, committed to supporting families with children 0-6 years in Toronto North Quadrant formally North York. The goal is to support the healthy development of children from prenatal to six years of age, especially among those families who are most vulnerable through a variety of programs.

Who we serve

Program participants may be isolated or experiencing barriers due to language/culture; concerned about the development and well being of their newborn or young child; feeling confused or stressed-out from the challenges of pregnancy or parenthood; lacking the resources to access community services and information; looking for an opportunity to learn and share with other parents; or just needing someone to talk to!

Where we work

Our programs are offered throughout the North York community from Steeles Avenue in the north to O’Connor Drive in the south and Victoria Park Avenue in the east to Bathurst Street in the west.

What we do

We offer a variety of programs based on the target age and needs of the children and parents involved. Where possible we offer TTC tokens and food vouchers to participants in need. All of our programs and services are free of charge.
