Volunteer information
Volunteers enable us to provide high quality programs. Without their time and effort we would not be able to do as much as we do. Volunteers have the opportunity of working in a variety of programs or in our main office. If you enjoy working with families and children and helping others in your community, become part of our team today! Contact Zohra Roman at 416 499 3377 ext 15.

Seasonal Hampers
Working closely with local schools and businesses, Better Beginnings NOW CAPC provides hampers to families in need, during the December holiday season. It is usually during this wintry holiday season that our families need the most help. With your support, this year, as we did last year, the hamper program will provide many families who desperately need help with simple things like food and clothing and toys for children who often don’t have any. Last year we were able to supply hampers to over 200 families in need and while this goal is highly impressive, we have many more families who would benefit from this Hamper program.

If you wish to provide a hamper for a needy family this year, please remember that everything you give is appreciated and needed and most of all that you have the chance to make a difference in someone else’s life simply by giving a few of the things that most of us take for granted. Donations
Better Beginnings NOW CAPC is a non-profit community based organization, committed to supporting families with children 0-6 years in North York. We value all donations (financial or in kind), to assist us in making our programs successful. Multicultural Event
Every year, in June, we have celebrated the diversity of the community we serve through an annual multicultural event. Over the years, an increasing number of community residents and agencies have participated in this event. In the last few years, we have had over 1000 participants at the event, which includes information tables, children’s activities, story telling and presentations from local residents, “Gun Play No Way” (an event by the Toronto Police Services to exchange toy and replica hand guns for a free gift), a reading tent, and many more activities. A healthy lunch is also provided to all who attend. Local businesses support us with donations for raffles and item to give to families. Contact Candice Wilson at extension 11.

Sponsor a Program
All of our programs and services are free of charge to the participants but are costly to maintain, it is our hope that by connecting with organizations like yours, our programs will be better able to help the “at risk” population in Toronto. By joining our Adopt a Program Campaign you will be helping keep relevant programs open to those who need them the most. We are asking you to consider a yearly commitment to either a program you feel strongly about or to a general fund, which will be used for all our programs. This could be a great teambuilding program if you get your employees involved, through employee fundraising drives, payroll deduction plans or friendly departmental competitions. The children you will be helping today will grow into the valuable employees of tomorrow.
